The allowance for SA is only 20KG - how is my wife going to manage??

Seriously tho - why is the allowance so low? why is it only one bag?

Interestingly the VH info book states the allowance as 32KG - its only because I checked on the ticket itself and on the VS web site for confirmation that I found out that 2okg was the limit?

Can anyone give any background to this??

p.s. we are flying PE - only 6 days to go - cant wait!!!!

Called Premier Team for clarification, they explained that it's basically not less for SA it's more for the US and Caribbean. All airlines have to match what the US are allowing OUT of the country - an IATA thing not a VS thing.

Thanks for that - answered one of my questions about the baggage allowance disparity. Does that mean that an airline can choose to apply the 32kg piece system for non-US routes?

Cheers,
