Hi! This has been discussed many times before in numerous threads, including this one very recently.

You can only gain access to the CH if:
- You are traveling in J on VS (not CO codeshare)
- You are an Au FC member
- You are the guest of an Au FC Member
- You booked your flight as part of a VH package and have paid £70 to enter
- You are traveling in J class on SQ flight (not an SQ codeshare)

Treatments can only be booked in traveling in J with VS or if you are an Au card holder.

In adition to Willd's answer you can also gain access to the club house on a Z, D or G ticket and take one guest with you as you can as a J or AU card holder.

I was using J as the general code for business class rather than exact bucket codes.

If you have a Bmi Gold card you can access the LHR Clubhouse when flying VS, but only LHR.

Thanks,
Sarah

Aha. And can Virgin passengers access the SQ SilverKris lounge at LHR?

I'm on VS Z

If your ticket is Upper Class then you can access the CH.

Not sure why you want to go to the SQ Silverkris lounge as it is very poor in comparision and rather small.

To go uber pedantic here, if you are on SQ J, F or R flight even if you are VS Au you still cannot prebook treatments. At least not in my experience.

I was wondering about the reverse.

As Au can I access the SQ lounges even though I'm flying Y? I'm sure I've seen something about this on here, but am at a total loss as to where.

Thanks.

This is what I'd like to know. I'd quite like to have a peek in the SQ lounge, just out of curiosity!

Found this on the VS website. Not even hidden away very well, knew I'd seen it somewhere.[:I]

As a Gold member, whichever class you fly in you'll automatically receive priority airport standby, priority boarding, plus priority baggage loading, and an additional 20kg baggage allowance. Gold members travelling on Singapore Airlines in Economy can also use Singapore Airlines' Business Class check in counters, and relax in either their Premier Lounge or Business Class area of Kris Lounges around the world.

So that should make my flights next April a bit more bearable.

Thanks daharris [:)] I'm off to Singapore on the A380 in 2 weeks time (only in Y [:(])and was trying to find out that information that you posted. Saved me a good few minutes from trawling through the small print on Virgins site [:D]

Beware of SQ lounge staff who don't know the rules though. I have been refused entry to SQ lounges in various places when flying in Economy on SQ planes carrying a FC Gold card. Most notably, in Kuala Lumpur. I have no idea what evidence you need to show to these people to get them to believe you. I have never managed to get them to change their minds. This entitlement does not appear on SQ's website anywhere. I have reported the issue to VS every time on returning. I have no idea whether anything has been done about it.

Seems very variable. I _have_ managed to use SQ's lounges in Changi, Incheon and Hong Kong. On some of those occasions, though, I was carrying a Star Gold card which might have had something to do with it.

I'm still not sure my original query has been answered...

We've established who can access the CH, but:

On my VS Z ticket, would I be able to access the SQ lounge? Or the Continental one (I think it's called Holideck or something)?

I'm curious to do a comparison...

Why don't you give FC a call? They *should* surely be the most informed people to answer your query.

Ditto on the increased baggage allowance. SQ staff at SGN refused to accept that my AU card entitled me to an increased allowance and could not understand the connection even when I pointed out that SQ owned 49% of VS.
