We arrived at Miami Airport from Palm Beach at about 4.20pm. The airport wasnt very busy we checked in in about 10 minutes and made our way through to security. It wasnt very clear where you had to go but we were pointed in the right direction, (literally pointed the staff member never spoke).

Not much of a queue and would have been through very swiftly had I not set the scanner off and had to be frisked and bags checked thoroughly. I have no problem with this im glad they do make obsolutely sure. Arrived at our gate shortly after and did a bit of duty free shopping.

They started boarding around 6.30pm. When our rows were called we made our way onto the plane. Once seated in economy I was regretting not upgrading the inbound leg. Not that it was really awful but I did feel a bit penned in sat bolt upright in the hard economy seats. Compared to being excited about the PE experience and enjoying the flight on the outbound leg, this time I was not looking forward to the next 8 hours and just wanted to be back in London asap!

We took off on time, drinks came round shortly after. Followed by dinner 3 choices, I went for cheesy pasta, very filling! Came with salad, Flap jack and custard dessert, cheese and biscuits. All ok, nothing special. (if I was seated in PE im sure I would have been more enthusiastic!). During our meal a girl seated behind my friend suffered a panic attack. She was scared of flying, she was extremely upset and kept saying she was scared and had to get off the plane. I really felt for her she was clearly petrified and at one point jumped out her seat over her boyfriends into the aisle, food tray and drinks went up in the air. She went off to find a member of crew, she came back saying they were not interested but doubt that was the case I just think they refused to land the plane so she could get off. They did come over shortly after to see if they could do anything to help. By this time she had calmed down and we didnt hear anything more from her after. Somehow though it made me quite nervous hearing someone else in so much distress and scared. Thankfully it was quite a smooth flight.

Once dinner had been cleared lights were out and most people went to sleep. I couldnt sleep in economy and me and my friend didnt want to recline our seats and make the nervous flyer feel clostrophobic. So I watched a few films and read my book. Glad IFE was working this time.

The flight did go very quick and we landed an hour early. Once we had waited for the Singapore Airlines plane to move out the way we pulled up to our stand and waited to depart. The passenger behind the nervous flyer then decided to have a go at her which I felt was a bit ignorant. We departed the plane and made our way to passport control, not too bigger queue waited about 10-15min queue soon built up behind us.

Bags came off straight away and we were in a taxi in no time back to the Marriott to collect my car. We landed at 8.05am I was home in the Midlands at 11.20am thought that was rather swift!

Overall Economy was just what you pay for, Seat, food, drinks & IFE all of which I got plane took off ontime landed early suitcases waiting in baggage claim. Couldnt ask for more It gets you from A to B. However, when flying PE I actually enjoy the flight and I think ill do my best in the future to get a good PE deal.

Shame about the nervous flyer and the reaction to her. But as you say, Y if it does what it says on the tin gets you from A to B, hopefully VS deliver the experience a little better than others?

Thanks for the in formative TR.

Great to hear a TR from the back. [y]

Thanks to that idiot I expect that nervous flyer will never fly again. I know my wife would have verbally laid into him/her for being such prat.

Thanks for the TR.

I agree with your opinions on flying Y, it is just basically a way of getting from A to B. Flying in a premium cabin makes the flight much more enjoyable and a much bigger part of the travel experience.

Thanks for posting the TR[y][y]

I agree with others about the insensitve comments. My friend's daughter is just the same and despite going on the 'Fear' course, she still has it in her mind that all will go wrong and it is a real job to keep her calm.

We all have our phobias and I for one will never go out of my way to cause even more distress

Thanks for giving a candid view
