Well, the subject says it all... how many of those nice people are there?

They seem to wield some extra power within VS, as they seem to be able to do almost anything! Some missing miles were credited almost instantly while I was on the phone ("If you don't mind holding, I'll get Flying Club support to do it now"), while I've been waiting about 3 months to get FC Ag to sort it, and a request to upgrade on an aircraft which turned out to have no G availability resulted in a, "If you don't mind waiting 30 seconds, I'll call Revenue Management and ask when they expect to release more G seats".

They all seem very, very clueful about VS (more so than the average person at the reservations centre), and know all the right buttons to push. :)

I've certainly been more than happy with the service from the Premier Team since I went Gold (bloody Spandau Ballet, keep thinking of the song!) - they really are knowledgeable, and very helpful indeed [^]:)

Mike,
Slightly OT but..
as a recent Golden boy, what do you notice being Gold rather than Silver, other than an 0800 # and Spandau Ballet going through your head?

Is Premier Team another name for Flying Club Gold Support?

Well, I think it's the impression that they'll go an extra mile for you. For example, when I rang about trying to cancel a Z-fare, even though there wasn't really an alternative that I could take, I got the feeling that they tried every possible avenue to try and help me out. I never really got less than "very good" service from the red & silver lines previously, so the gold service is impressive! :)

Cheers

Kind of - depends which 0800 number you are dialling.

There were around 25 people in Premier but they are expanding a little bit at the moment.

They do rock, they are very smart people and know how to help.

Thanks,
Richard

Well, I hadn't even thought about Spandau Ballet until other people mentioned it... [:p]

I think I've mentioned the main differences already - things which took days or weeks (and emails and letters) to get the Silver FC agents to do, they can fix almost immediately over the phone, and they seem genuinely prepared to go the extra light year, never mind the extra mile. Absolutely stellar customer service.

I'm guessing these people have been with VS for some time, and as I said, seem to know all the right buttons to push!

Cheers,
Mike
