Dearest Gurus[oo]

I've looked on T&Cs for answers to my questions but have drawn blanks.

Is this scheme accepting of UK FC members for USA applicants?

Friends have just completed a round trip VA flight from JFK to LHR.

Is it too late to send them the VA email inviting them to join Flying Club for the trip that they have just completed?

Thank you in adavance.

I don't see why not. MMF is also listed on the US site, and there is nothing in the T&C's to state you cannot ask members from another country to join. You have 6 months after the flight for them to sign up and get the miles credited to there account, which will in turn get them credited to your account (probably a call by them to FC to get the miles credited would be best, as the missing miles form route can take a while).

I tried to get some Miles through the MMF scheme after the person had made a trip, but they rejected it because they had signed up without the email link that you send to them.

That is correct. For any MMF referrals to work, the person signing up to FC must do so through the link in the email that is sent, but that can still be done retrospectively as long as the person hasn't already signed up to FC and had the miles credited to a FC account.

I'll let you know the outcome in due course, these things tend to take a while though.

I'll be sure to send them a VA email.

Thanks R-P.[:)]
