With my next flight to Vegas I've just managed to get my Gold card back (7 PE flights), so trying to make sure I keep it next year and also make use of it. I've only three trips planned so far for the following earning year, and one is to Dallas so not a VA route.

Any suggestions as to the easiest way to get to Dallas with the shortest/easiest connection?

If it's too difficult I guess it will have to be BA direct...

BA certainly - or AA, but just make sure you don't get an AA 767, they're ancient, no PTVs and you pay for a beer.

Alternatively - and having done this several times, if you want to go on VS then Washington is IMO the best place to connect. New York connections are prone to hideous delays unless you're lucky, although Newark and on to DFW on Continental is the best option there.

Strangely, MCO isn't a bad place to connect to DFW either.

The same actually goes for Miami, with DFW and MIA being AA hubs there are a lot of AA flights between the two, however MIA is not the easiest place to connect through.

Firstly, just had to say Connect through Dulles ? :0 v( n( Are you mad. worst immigration facility in the US. MIA, EWR all good. I would shoot (actually have done) for EWR then CO to Dallas or Houston (I do both) Pick up an extra tier point. You can also find some exceptional return F fares on CO from EWR, double up on miles and Tier points

You think MIA has better immigration that IAD? You mad :D ?

I agree with your point about CO from EWR, but they're prone to heckofalot of delays. Hence my pref. for IAD where things are just a bit more reliable.

My personal batting at MIA is not bad. Always been less than 45 minutes out the door and through the passport control. IAD, this past 12 months, 5 trips and never less than 2.5 hours to the baggage hall. Absolute nightmare. I find an excuse to go to NYC or BOS and either fly into DCA or take the train. IAD to be avoided as if it were my sister

Thanks for all the replies. Personally not had too many problems with IAD but I'm really starting to wonder if BA direct is the best option.

If your going to do that, take AA, more options if something goes pear shaped.
