I tend to only have a starter - quite often soup - and a dessert and I must admit I've usually been pretty happy with the offerings.

I believe the new outbound menu starts on 1 June - so you'll definitely have it on your flight to Boston.

We had this menu on our flight back last night and we quite enjoyed it. Neither of the starters I fancied but Luke had the chowder and said it was very nice.

We both had the beef, which we enjoyed and the chocolate desert was fabulous.

Also the breakfast seemed better, certainly the bacon roll I had was much better than previously, which the bacon being much more bacon like, and the cob was better too.

A friend flew out to NY today with VS, got the new outbound menu, and said it was noticeably better quality. Not sure what's on it yet, though.

I'm actually not impressed--as a non beef/chicken diner; polenta is an iffy, stodgy main, and chowder (as an in-the-know-Yank chowder expert) does not, generally, do well in a sourdough roll (salad yes, soup, no). The salad, cheeses and lemon tart look good though, so will make it a point to get to Logan CH in time to scoop incomers for Bento Box.

Looks like I'll be filling up at McDonalds before I fly to Orlando as the outbound menu is a disappointment compared with inbound. It's like they took a list of everything I don't like and put it on one menu.

OMG I thought the Spring menu was bad, this is dire, (personal view only) Me and him will have to fill up before the flight. I don't think either of us would eat any of that. If I was to choose a 'special' meal, is there anyway of finding out what would be served?

I do like the look of the outbound. Better than my last one from Sky Chef...

Bill. Perhaps they've decided that the requests of the many outweigh the needs of the few?

That actually looks like a good menu, no complaints from me this time.

I had this last Saturday - it was dire. The soup starter was a joke, small, poor tasting and cold, the steak was miserable since it tasted of plastic and the accompanying potatoes and green beans were over cooked, even the lemon tasted of, well nothing really other than flour!

I hope it improves, maybe I had a bad flight ... But it was worse than a roadside cafe.

Hopefully you had a bad flight - we had nothing but praise for the menu the other day. We all thought it was of a much better quality than before.

Well Tinks - had the same options on the VS40 last night and it was a revelation, a world away from two weeks ago, a lovely meal. In fact it was a great flight with fantastic crew. Commendations heading to Crawley very shortly and I think I may do a TR for once.

Thats very sensible! Puts the onus on the pax to be responsible for themselves.

Very glad to hear that Tinks!

It did seem rather OTT to ask all passengers to refrain from eating anything that might contain nuts for a single passenger with a possible allergy.
Glad that sense now reigns.

That's what I was thinking - I know it's UC but the choices seem like the the menu's were made by a complete food snob.
Then add that to the fact I don't eat anything from the starters or mains, you'll understand why I'm a bit disappointed as it's going to be my first UC flight and already I know I won't be eating.

Does anyone know what the UK-USA menu is yet? I can only find the inbound menu ?|
