Hey folks - just want to get a guage of opinion on a price I've seen for some flights next summer (note we're stuck to the school hols due to my GF's occupation).

Outbound: London - SFO (PE) VS19, Early August
Return: NY - London (Economy) VS18, Mid August
Fare: £990 each.

I know this is subject to "if you think it's a good price then buy it" but just wanted get some views from the V-Flyer folk?

My personal view is it's a tad high, but that airfares seem to be going up and up at the moment, so you have to expect to pay £200-odd more than you may have done 2/3 years back.

Cheers! James

I think you have answered your own question. I would say it is reasonable, not mega cheap nor expensive, but if you are happy with it then book it and don't look back. If you want to risk it maybe coming down (or going up, of course) then sit tight!

Also, don't forget that PE is going to be taxed much higher from November on flights departing the UK ... so that accounts for some of the rise!

How does this compare to other airlines that fly the route?

That might give an indication of whether it is good or not.

Must agree with Neil. If you're happy with the price........
