Hi all,

We are currently booked to fly Upper to Las in December, initially our aircraft was a LHR one with part Upper part economy in the bubble, we have already requested seats 16/17A.

I have checked today and it is now listed as a LHR aircraft with all Upper in the bubble with all the rear seats reserved.

In light of this are we better off with Upper seats in the front of the bubble or stay where we are downstairs.

Thanks,

Danny

I personally prefer the main deck when flying in Upper on a 744.

There's more room, you have bigger over-head lockers, the suites are not as narrow either on the main deck.

The upper deck suites are the same as on all the Airbus A/C, in that they are narrower and have a smaller, utterly useless arm rest (as it's too far back).

Interesting though that A/C config has changed to all J on the upper deck. Are VS removing Y from the upper deck?

I thought all the LHR 747's now had Y upstairs?

I remember our flight from SFO had the same seat map you are showing, with the rear UC cabin greyed out, but it was actually Y upstairs also.

Personally I'd stick with 16/17A downstairs - it's in the A-zone so lots more room in the little mini cabin.

Danny

I can't answer which LHR 747 is in LGW at the moment but whichever one it is, it will have V-Port. It will however not be an all UC bubble plane as all have now been converted to the UC/Economy configuration

we fly to jamaica in 2 weeks and our aircraft has also changed to the same config as yours
It was originally the mixed class in the bubble and now is only uc, when I queried here a couple a weeks ago I was told that they no longer have this config but I can't understand that if that is the case why the seat map hasn't changed back again yet?
