At LGW a couple of weeks ago and noticed there a now 2 Virgin lounges at there. How does this now work? Is one for anyone on a VH who wants to pay for it, and the other is for "normal" gold and UC pax etc?

Hi Vizbiz

Yes, there are two lounges. The VH one is called VRoom - good for holiday makers - and the other is the Virgin Lounge for UC and Gold, so its a clubhouse like at LHR - but quite a bit smaller. I've only ever been in the latter, so I can't tell you what the Vroom is like.

Cheers

The VRoom is only for pax booked through Virgin Holidays, a direct VS pax booked in Y or PE cannot access the VRoom.

The Virgin Clubhouse at Gatwick is IMHO, up there as one of the best. It might be smaller, but has all the necessary services and has a small dedicated team that work there on a daily basis.

Equally, the V Room has a great team working there and did a sterling job looking after UC passengers when the Clubhouse was closed for refurbishment this time last year.

Access to the V Room is strictly for VH passengers and since it Has opened, I believe that paid access to the Clubhouse has been curtailed

I think VH still sell access to the LGW Clubhouse, the price has gone up from £35 per person to £50.

I know the numbers of passes available through VH are kept very tight, but I think most head to the V-room as it is either £17 or £20 per person or given away as part of the deal
