Having just booked my first ever UC jaunt for the family, im wondering which are the best seats to try and get.

I've currently got these booked but do the regular flyers have better ideas ? :)

Outbound got 6A, 6D, 7A and 7D
Return got 1D, 2A, 2D, 2K

I guess all seats are good and being in the first few rows mean that any noise/traffic from the bar would be minimal

I also have my first trip with family in UC (Kids aged 9 and 11) and have gone for seats in the middle on the grounds that I don't want to be too near to the bar but also don't want to be too close to people at the front who probably want it to be as quiet as possible

Which route and dates are you flying as this can indicate which plane it is and the position of the seats and hence their 'bestness' or not.

How old are your kids?

Im flying LHR-LAX VS7/8 Both on a Saturday

Kids are 16 and 13 and are well behaved so they wont annoy anyone*

*apart from those who dont like kids in UC of course :)

Personally I don't like the centre suites so 2-7K or 8-15A (any further is too near the bar).If you wish to sit opposite your kids your outbound seats will be OK but I'd move on the return. IMHO 1 and 2D are not great seats and as there is a wardrobe directly opposite them there is a fair bit of activity in the area.
The LAX route is a busy one and the times I've flown it there have been a fair number of younger travellers in the cabin as well as a sprinkling of celebs.

your row 1 and 2 seats on the return will also be in the snooze zone.

Thanks. I will let the better half know and she can decide. I personally am not too bothered as I think I will be at the bar :)

Tonty there's no snooze zone on West coast flights :)

SHHHHHH vji could tell his wife and kids that they have to go to sleep so he can spend the rest of the time at the bar !
