Booking with Virgin Holidays and using miles for upgrade

Hi,

Can I book a holiday with VH travelling in economy - and at the same time use VS FC miles to upgrade to PE?

I am assuming not, so could I upgrade later direct with VS?

You cannot upgrade a VH booking with miles.

There might be an outside chance you could do it on the day at the airport if there are rewards available, but even then it is more than likely you would have to pay to upgrade to an upgradable fare code first, then use miles on top.

As I thought, but good to have the confirmation.
