Hello folks, newbie here!

How long should I expect to wait to before these go through? It's been about six weeks since I sent in two forms for flights on Hawaiian Airlines.

Slightly annoying as if I understand the rules correctly I'll get 2 TP for this, which will put me on Silver and I'll also have just over 30K miles which I might actually be able to use.

I rang Flying Club this morning and they basically said they had no idea how long it would take and it was the fault of some other part of their own company, which is both unhelpful and not my problem.

Thanks!

Welcome to the site, Martin.

The posting of partner miles has been a bug bear with VS as far back as I can remember. n(

It is a real pain in this computer age, and it is about time VS did something about it. I think it is better than it used to be, but is a long way from perfect.

I hope you have saved your boarding slips or eticket receipt, as you will need one them when you use the claim missing partner miles form on the VS website. (You have to be logged in to access this form).

Best of luck with claiming them.

Sorry, my fault - I didn't read your post properly.

That is not good, but I have no recent experience. I am not sure what you can do, other than escalate with a complaint to SRB's office - but before that - try posting details on the Facebook page, then emailing Greg there. He does seem to be able to make things happen if he has the full details.

Welcome Martin - partner miles posting can work when electronic well and quickly (has done for me from Continental and Virgin America for example). When the process fails, it's sadly not uncommon for VS to take forever to do something that should really be very simple.

Welcome again..

Our last (probably literally) BMI interconnect in late Jan/early Feb, took about 3-4 weeks, having sent in the stubs..
They were even on a VS booked ticket !
Time before all hit account automatically, as Slinky says it appears to be luck of the draw..

I have a couple of car rental claims that have still not appeared and its about 2 months since I rented. I did try to claim them on the Avis site and got the following helpful auto response (NOT) v(

"Thank you for visiting the Avis missing miles\points internet site.

Your claim has been rejected It has previously been processed by Avis and subsequently passed to your Partner for validation.

If you have any queries regarding your claim please contact your dedicated membership programme customer services department.
"

Bizzarely I also have one Alamo rental claim that has appeared twice. :w

to repeat NH "...as Slinky says it appears to be luck of the draw.."

I have had several missing partner miles claims over the last year, mostly for flights, none have taken more than 4 weeks to be credited from posting off the claim, guess i have been lucky.

Although in todays modern world there is no reason they shouldn't be credited automatically if all the details are correctly in the bookings.

Interesting - I'm using Hawaiian for 4 flights in the coming weeks, and had thought that I could hand over my FC membership card to them at checkin - am I right?

(Martin, don't know if you had physical FC cards or not...)

Yes you can hand in your FC card but you may also have to send in your boarding passes at some future date so keep them just in case

Ah thanks, didn't know to do that.

It's the first time I've ever tried to claim a partner flight. I did have my card on me but never thought of showing it to them.

Have fun in Hawaii, I had a great few days there.

Hmmm. I got a letter today (how quaint!) about one of the claims.

They're not going to give me any miles / points because it was apparently the wrong class of flight. Oh well, must have missed that in the T&Cs. And it doesn't matter that I made the connecting flight to SFO and back on VS?

I've always been suspicious of the amount of hassle involved in these 'loyalty' schemes. Some people on here seem to do very well from FC but it looks like it needs deep knowledge of many arcane rules that I don't have yet!
