One of the first spam posts did not have any links and a couple of people responded. The only alerting factor was that it was in French and did not talk about travel

The latest one (illund) took one of DarkAuror's posts from a thread, added their own link to a porn site at the bottom as a signature and reposted.
I assume they think that if the post isn't obvious spam, it will be ignored.![]()

We are currently getting 10-20 bogus sign-ups a day, but the new approval system is keeping the posts from the board.
It is a bit of a pain for new members, who have to wait to see their posts, but a vast improvement for everyone else.
