PE offering has now been enhanced. No longer getting the 'starbucks' service but back to getting a tray for the 2nd service and different breakfast and afternoon tea food than economy. Also getting a hot breakfast now on some routes.

No problem. I'm returning on VS10 on Weds, so will post the return menu when I get back if no one has done that by then.

Yup the truffle was very nice!

AS Vb747 says the second meal - sandwiches was on a tray this time and also came with a soft cookie that I forgot to mention, that was very nice too.

Ah hot breakfasts are back ? in all classes? do you know if they are served on flights originating from the US east coast? Last time I had those was on VS601/VS602 last year.

I believe it's on all routes where breakfast is served - choice of two meals - full english or vegetarian omlette

Well I did travel on VS10, arriving into Heathrow on board Dancing Queen on Thursday morning as planned. So here is the PE US-UK menu:-

Salad - Mixed Green Salad with herbed mozzerella

Main Courses:-

Beef Stroganoff with egg noodles, carrots and garden peas

Stir-fried chicken in chilli sauce with steamed jasmine rice and Oriental vegetables

Mixed vegetable and cannellini cassolet with garlic breadcrumb topping

Warm bread - Pretzel roll or wheat pistolet

Desset - Wild flower honey cheesecake with creme anglais

Cheese & Biscuits - Tilamook mild cheddar cheese with Pepperidge Farm crackers

Tea & Coffee.

Prior to landing breakfast was served and yes it was the return of the traditional VS full English breakfast. - Sausage, Bacon, scrambled egg and what i think was described as potato cake.

It was a very welcome return to see this come back. I hope it's here to stay.

Is full English served in economy too?

I am sure I heard one of the crew on VS10 today tell someone it started from March. I travelled on VS10 early Feb in PE and it was the muffin top still then.

As of 2nd march all inbound flights to the UK that serve breakfast b4 landing this service had been enhanced in Premium only.
You now get a small tray with the choice of full English breakfast or cheese omelette. This is on every route Inc east coast flights. I'm sure I will agree a big improvement on the previous offerings.

The economy breakfast is also better now, instead of the horrid hot muffin, we now serve an hot artisan ham or egg sandwich, which is actually quite tasty!!!
With further improvements to follow ;-)

Great to see the improvements, but please VS towers, the word 'artisan' is one of the most misoverused (to quote GWB) on the planet!

At least it's spelt correctly. A shop local to me insisted it sold "artisian" bread.

I was on the VS009 and VS018 over the weekend and indeed an enhanced service in PE.

On the outbound, usual PE offerings all the way through with the pre-arrival service now includes a coronation chicken sandwich and a soft cookie - all served on a little tray with a china cup.

On the VS018 - a choice of English breakfast (bacon, sausage, scrambled egg, tomato, mushroom and potato cake) or Cheese Omelette with mushrooms, tomato and potato cake. Both served on a little tray with a china cup and juice and a piece of fruit offered too. This is served after take-off and is a huge improvement on the previous offering - well done Virgin.

Full TRs to follow soon.
