Boston Clubhouse anyone?

As a change and a treat, on way home from our LA/SFO/Vegas trip we are stopping off for 3 nights in Boston with a miles upgrade to UCS on way home (July 3rd).

Heard the UC lounge is one of the better ones, with an appealing buffet on offer. We have done the SFO and JFK lounge, but not this one. How does it compare to the others, is the food really good and (it has been a while since my last overnighter on UCS) is the food on board in UCS on way home restricted because of the time we fly? We did not want the snooze zone, so we have booked downstairs, but we wanted to enjoy (of course) the 'full works' of the Freedom menu - is this still possible?

Have not visited the BOS CH but it does seam to get good reports from V-Flyers.

On board the food is not restricted so you can select from the dinner menu as per normal.

Hope you have a good time in BOS - it's one of my favourite places.

The Boston CH is a nice little CH which can get very busy. It's below the main terminal so it has no windows. Hot food ia a bit limited IIRC (think chowder etc) but the service is very friendly.

Thanks all. Good idea for flight reports so will do that. Looking forward to it and Boston. Never been there before, it was that or Chicago and I chose this (no reward flights from Chicago) and have heard good things about it, so have an Exec suite in Ritz Carlton Club room and a lovely UCS flight to end a great holiday. Bring it on!

as others have mentioned, its pretty compact & shares with other airlines so can get very busy. Seating is split 50/50 between a lounge area & a dining area although people tend to use both areas for sitting or eating. Despite it being under the main terminal lounge & windowless it still feels light & is very nicely decorated - i think it's one of the newer lounges that has only been open 3-4 years

hot food is limited to a couple of soups but they usually have a great deli selection

I quite liked the lounge there. Echo the other comments on it's size but they day I flew out there was only one other airline using it so it wasn't too bad at all.

The staff were lovely - the chef very friendly.

The Boston flight offers the Good Night Service where you have a choice of turndown, a cold express tray (salad and cheese) or a full hot meal served with a side salad.

The other difference on the Good Night Flights is that a full English breakfast is not served but all other breakfast items are.

Thanks for this and looking forward to it though it's a shame about the full English. Just because it is a Good Night flight, why does everyone lose out for those who do not wish to participate and would like to take advantage of everything. Oh well, I'm sure it will be fab, UCS usually is!
