Hello There!

I was wondering if anyone can help.

I checked my flight 26 hours before to see if i could check in online, it is unavailable (I know it is 24 hours) however, the 'Where's My Seat?' seems to be working.
When i click on it, most of the seats has gone and there is only four available!

Finally, when i use the 'Which Aircraft?' feature on the site, none of the ones to my destination matches the layout on 'Where's My Seat?'.
I understand things can change at the last minute but does this sound right?

What doesn't look right with the seat map? Which flight and where are you flying to?

Seats don't always become available at OLCI stage, it depends on the loads etc.

Sounded a bit cryptic didn't it? Apologizes....

So, I'm on the VS019 to SFO tomorrow. When I woke up, I entered my flight details in VA.com and I could choose my seats but not check-in (which I thought was a little strange as I thought it was only 24 hours before???). Also, there was only about four seats available. Now, I know they only release 60% (I think?) but I thought this was a little strange???

Anyway, so I went and picked a seat and I've now re-checked the flight (less than 24 hours before departure) and I can't check-in nor can I see or change my seat??? It is saying 'Where's My Seat' is unavailable.

Finally, I was looking at the 'Which Aircraft'? on this site and although it says has a 28% average on being a Boeing 747 Config 4 (LHR), none of the airplanes listed on the routes have that config? And the layout when I selected my seat this morning was a Boeing 747 Config 4 (LHR).

Just a little confused :o!

Ok, thanks :). Any idea why online check in and checking my seats isn't working but I could assign myself a seat more than 24 hours before check-in?

Only 60% of seats are available for pre-requesting and when this quota is reached the seat map is unavailable. Although OLCI does not open till T-24 experience has shown that the seat map can become available before then. On one occasion I was able to change my seats 5 hours before OLCI opened. At that stage all available seats (which do not include exit rows or bulkhead) are shown but if the flight is full and there has been a high take-up of seat requests then the seat map is not shown at OLCI and seats are only allocated at the airport to enable families to stay together.
