He was on tv yesterday saying he would be prepared to reduce his stake in VAA to aid the search for an alliance partner. But his preferred option would be for SQ to reduce their share

Sounds like he's running out of ideas ...

I think anything said publicly is probably what he wants people to think vs what's actually happening.

On the other hand, he only owns 25% of VX. Not like this is his first rodeo.

I'm beginning to agree... I think VS have got themselves in to a bit of a corner.

Maybe he wants to release a bit of capital for Northern Rock or LLoyds bank

I am pretty sure SQ would also like sell but cannot find a buyer willing (or able) to pay.
