Flying 14/10/11 In Premium Economy VS043 LGW-LAS.
We'll be staying in the Gatwick Sofitel the night before. (BTW Fabulous Chinese restaurant in the Sofitel)
Since we're at the airport the previous evening was thinking of doing the Twilight check in to save time the next day.
However heard much talk on here about how they sometimes offer cheap upgrades to UC when you check in.
So my questions are:
1. I'm assuming that if such an upgrade option does exist then it would not be available until the day of the flight as they won't be sure how many UC seats they've sold until then. Is that right?
2. If I'm correct about that then should I check in at the PE check in actually on the day to maximise my chances?
3. And assuming I don't get the chance to upgrade for a reasonable extra charge, I was thinking of trying to get into the bubble in seats 74 A & C or 74 H & K. Does anyone have any experience of these seats? I like them because of the guilt free recline. IE always feel very aware of the person behind me being inconvenienced by my reclined seat.
Many thanks to all who reply!
Regards
Simon.
