Just noticed VS031(Gatwick - St Lucia) does not seem to have operated direct the last two Tuesdays (24 &31 Jan) it seems to have flown via Barbados. We are due to take this flight on Tuesday 14th Feb. Can anyone out there confirm if our flight will be direct or not!

Many Thanks

The VS037 has operated for the last two Tuesdays which is always scheduled to operate via Barbados.

Your flight is the VS031 which always operates direct to St Lucia.

Agreed schedule says VS031 should have operated on the previous two Tuesdays. However, the actuals as shown on v-flyer for those days' flights would appear to indicate that VS031 didn't go as a separate flight but was consolidated with the Barbados flight (VS037) which is shown to have gone on to St Lucia after Barbados.

No sorry you're wrong. In the last two years we've flown on the same Tuesday on VS031 direct to St Lucia. Also actual flight details for VS031 on Tuesdays prior to the last two weeks in question, show it as flying direct to St Lucia. VS037 has, I believe, always been a separate flight direct to Barbados, not to St Lucia via Barbados.

Tinks is among the likeliest persons to be right ... also I've just looked at the VS Web site which clearly shows that on Tuesdays VS37 goes to BGI and UVF. Someone else can say whether this is a change on previous years, but that's the way it is.

You are wrong. VS037 has always flown to St Lucia via Barbados. I have been on this flight many times myself.

It has operated the last two Tuesdays as the VS037 - via Barbados.

It will operate as the VS031 on Tuesday 14 February as VS031 - direct to St Lucia.

All this schedule information with the flight numbers is on the VS iPhone App.

Rather than having a discussion here could I suggest you phone VS and ask them if there is a stop or not as they are the people who will know.

All we can say on here is what normally happens or what is published in the schedule that on some Tuesdays the Barbados and St Lucia flights are PLANNED well in advance to do the double drop.

BTW a 'direct' flight can also mean that there is a stop but that pax wanting the final destination don't have to get off the plane.
