For me it was April 2002 to New York (JFK) with ex boyfriend. I can't remember the exact date (mind you it will be in my old passport)

I think it was an airbus but I can't remember who, I just remember being disappointed it wasn't a jumbo.

It was my first long haul flight and my second ever flight.

I also fell in love with NYC on that break, unfortunately I didn't feel the same way about ex boyfriend ):

First flew VS March 1997, MAN to MCO in PE.
No UC and l think the aircraft was leased.
Travelled with my best friend to look at buying a property out there.
Didn't buy, but the flight was fabulous :D

December 28th 1992 LGW-MCO 1st time to the US. Got exit row seats assigned with no problem and no cost both ways.

Gatwick to St Lucia in June 2006. First time on a jumbo and first holiday with my wife. Booked in economy, but got upgraded at the gate to PE, sitting upstairs! Suffice to say, we were both thrilled!

1997 (may have been 1998). Working for a grasping capitalist financial institution with a "business class if travelling over 5 hours" policy, a PA recommended that if I stated that I could only fly at a certain time I would get a VS UC rather than BA business flight, with attendant bells'n'whistles.

So, picked up from Bishopsgate in Range Rover. DTCI. Almost knocked over by Liam Gallagher as he was exiting CH. J2000 seating, and a very spacious feel to the cabin. And a flight into EWR that took us down the Hudson with a view of Manhattan and a circle round the Statue of Liberty (I may have made that bit up).

April 2008, VS9. A work trip. At the gate I was told: "Your seat has been changed. You've been upgraded to Upper Class." Brilliant flight. The FA made me a very potent G&T. When I finally finished it, she appeared, quick as anything, and said with a grin, "Another one?" Those were the days :)

February 2007 Manchester to St Lucia. Longest flat beds in Economy! Loads were so light we could stretch out over four seats each. Route only lasted 3 years it was great whilst it lasted.

Late February 2005 - flying with a group of friends to LAX from LHR. Was brilliant once we got on board, experience before then was dreadful.

Check in agent made me cry (her colleague on the next desk told my friend who was being checked in at the same time that the one that was checking us in was being a bitch today), stopped by security on the way into the lounge and then had a minimal check which I complained loudly at, one of the 'friends' we were flying with was being a PIA ....and it was the first time for me away from the kids....

Great experience on board - on a 744 with V-port if I recall correctly (was able to choose the programme and stop and rewind).

Flight back was absolutely super - and full of laughter - not alcohol fuelled - for all sorts of reasons.

I always kept a record of my flights - except for one - and by the time I discovered V-Flyer the schedule info didn't quite go back as far as 4th Sept 2008 VS 16. It may have been Ladybird ?

try this

So I did the link that CHill710 gave above and was up until stupid o clock this morning making a saddo list of all VS flights since my first one in 2004 on G-BUS LHR to JNB

March 2009, VS201 SYD to LHR with 4 days in HKG. Only picked VS as it was best value flying to LHR via HKG. Food was terrible, service indifferent. Only afterwards did I realise this seemed to be the norm for European airlines. Only positive was IFE was pretty good, equal to Singapore's offering in content. Stuck with VS as I had joined flying club, which I earn points for when flying Singapore, and it takes less points to redeem rewards, and I can use them on Virgin Australia.

If you were a member of Flying Club, or Freeway before then you can see many years worth of flight data - go to http://www.virginatlantic.com Login to your account and select the 'Your Account' option from the right hand side.

Change the statement period to 1 year and click update.

Now in the browser URL address bar find the piece that says
statementSelection=4

and change the 4 to an 8 and hit enter....

Enjoy your nostalgic view of previous flights....

Is that personal or professional?

Not sure when mine was - will have to check my spreadsheet but I remember a virtually empty plane to/from LHR-ORD in November 2000 and being impressed (yes really) with the Y amenity kit - so much so I took some on 'permanant loan'. they were the clear drawstring bag type.

Wasn't even a member of FC then either nor when I went to SFO in 2001 but I was when I went back in 2002.

First VS flight was to LA in 1990.

That flight wow'd me and was loyal until 5 years back when I got fed up with the inconsistent service

15th August 2005 NRT - LHR in Premium Economy.

I was coming back from having taught English in Japan for 3 years and the Japanese Government were buying the flight. It HAD to be a one-way flight and the cheapest (even though much more than an Economy return) was on Virgin in PE.
I was not going to complain about that and that first flight got me hooked on VS and FC, including:
Virgin Wines
Virgin Money Credit Cards
Virgin Games Casino (got a bit carrier away on that one but learnt my lesson!)
Friend recommendation bonus
Onboard Duty Free Spend
Online Shopping
Virgin Trains
Virgin Money Life Insurance
Virgin Money Pension
Hertz Car Rentals
E-rewards
Partner Airline Flights
Tesco Clubcard conversions

Wow, when I look back at my life I see how much of it has been affected by FC earning potential and I know that I am not as much of a miles whore as a lot of people!

Remember it well, Man/Orlando it was booked as economy for three weeks, Two weeks before we were due to fly, l upgraded us to Premium Economy. It was on a 747/200 and we sat at the front of the plane. July 18th 1994. :D First flight with Virgin and we have done that route ever since. We dont fly with anybody else, its part of our holiday. Before that it was Thomsons, Airtours, Monarch.

My first flight on VS was LHR-JNB in 1997 on, appropriately, G-VELD some six months after the route had started and therefore was on a promo from Dublin in conjunction with British Midland. My son, sister and I travelled together so it suited me to fly up From Cork to join her in Dublin.

It was a case of if anything can go wrong it will!! :0

My flight from Cork was on a separate ticket and as I was checking in I asked casually that I didn't suppose I could check my bags through to JNB. I could but as she was printing out the baggage tag I noticed she had printed it to JHB which is somewhere in Greenland!! I was told to show my baggage tags to BD in DUB which I duly did when we were checking ourselves in ( I won't talk about the fact that we had to wait 4 hours in DUB to check in where there was no seating available in Departures!!)

On arrival in LHR we transferred to T3 and were ready to roll - except there was nowhere to sit in the departure lounge but that turned out to be the least of my worries. The flight was called; we boarded and after a time a ground staff came on board asking my sister if she had flown Aer Lingus! There was a discrepancy with the number of bags - the system said 5, we said 3. She took my ticket with the baggage tags to verify them and then the plane took off - with my ticket still in LHR!!!

The crew, on learning what had happened, fell over backwards to look after us on that flight but when the meal service came there was no child's meal for Aer John. I had been told by the travel agent that the airline would pick up that there was a child fare. Ha! Wrong! Fortunately he fell asleep before they could cobble something together from the crew cart

The ticket was to be on the following day's flight but it took us five days to ascertain that and it was only because my brother got stroppy (that was because SA was very sexist then)

On our return where we had to pick up the ticket at the airport having phoned the previous day to ascertain where we were to pick it up, it took an hour to locate the ticket which was in fact about two feet away from the agent we were talking to! :0

As a finale, the check-in agent at JNB booked the three of us on three separate rows for our BD flight, which we only discovered halfway across Africa but rectified immediately on landing at LHR

Apart from that, I liked the vibe on VS. I'd hated the the BA flight I'd taken in 1984 when economy passengers were treated with disdain and in 1994 I had flown with SAA (with economy in the bubble of a 747) which wasn't bad but there was something about the VS flight that grabbed me.

On my return I wrote to VS raising these issues, not in a complaining way, but merely pointing out what had happened - after all the mix -up with bags had originated with either EI or BD - saying perhaps there were some training issues necessary. Three weeks later I received a call from VS at work - they had traced me through my travel agent clarifying a few issues and a week later I received a package of goodies including discount vouchers for either a flight, VH or duty-free, a discount voucher for Virgin Megastores, a baseball cap for Aer John and a watch for I'm which he treasured for years until it finally packed up

How could you not love an airline after that?

LGW-MCO in Feb 2005, was my:

First Virgin flight
First time on a widebody
First time on a 747
First longhaul flight
First experience of ife! :D

I even remember the planes which flew me, thanks to Virgin's names for their planes.

Outbound G-VROS English Rose Boeing 747 400
Inbound G-VROY Pretty Woman Boeing 747 400

Yes, both had Supernova but the novelty of TV's on a plane meant I had no idea it was years out of date even then! 8D Even now I can't quite take in the size of the 747 when looking at one from the gate window - fantastic aircraft!!

My first flight with VS was in February 2007 LHR to JFK on A340-600 Lady Luck. Best flight ever.

Not quite sure how but managed to get lucky and got upgraded to Upper Class at the gate due to the flight being so full. Crew were great although they had expected to be looking after Mariah Carey instead of the likes of me! (She and her entourage were put on a later flight so she could take up most of Upper Class!)
