I'm trying to find a cheap way to fly from London to DC and then onto Las Vegas in September. The only way I can think of is LHR - IAD, IAD - SFO - LAS, LAS - SFO - LHR.

The internal flights will be done on Virgin USA in First and the externals on Virgin in UC. As I need to start budgeting, what kind of prices do you think I will be looking at if I book during the sale period?

I'd be budgetting based on normal costs rather than possible sale fares that may or may not arise or if they do don't fit in with your travel plans.

Are there no direct IAD-LAS flights or are you 100% wedded to flying V America?

You can fly JFK-LAS direct on VX, I did it two weeks ago, an early start, but a good flight. As others say, look at the pricing now and figure it to be likely the best. September hasn't been a sale period that I can recall.

I would have to go from DC to New York somehow though. I swear there was an UC sale last year for around the autumn period?

Correct. Any partner links between VS and CO ended earlier this month.

VX only have CH in SFO, IAD and JFK (i.e the VS ones) and they are all pay to use as well ($35) - even if you have a VS First ticket.
