Well I've had a really lucky week! On Monday I got a phone call from a research company, I thought they were digging for info, but it turns out I won a new iPad! Then I checked my lottery ticket and I won! (Only $22.05 but a win's a win!). Best piece of luck came last night - I've been checking for G class availibility for my HKG - LHR trip in May and finally it appeared. After a bit of confusion from Virgin Helpdesk about how much extra I needed to pay for the taxes etc I have my Upper Class seat for the grand sum of 12,500 points and about $250 AUD. So, so happy - it'll make a huge difference to my trip. I then managed to get seat 4K too!

Quick questions;

1. Does the Clubhouse in Hong Kong have showers? It doesn't say on the VS website.

2. Revivals at Heathrow - I take it there are showers there too? It implies it on the website but isn't explicit. What's the breakfast like?!

Thanks all for your wisdom on this forum - I read and lurk regularly for all the best tips and am grateful for your shared knowledge!

showers - yes and yes - book one when you arrive at the respective CHs. In HKG try to get there before the flight from SYD actually arrives as there may be a rush for pax from that flight trying to freshen up before the onwward leg to LHR.

Breakfast @ LHR - selection of usual breakfast items.

Congrats on your lucky week. Just don't go berserk with your lottery win! :D

Just to add, Revivals has a breakfast menu as well a small buffet just by the dining area so you can choose whether to take the buffet option to save time or enjoy a cooked to order breakfast

Many thanks tontybear and honey lamb! I'm so excited to travel in Upper and the Clubhouse and Revivals will be brilliant! Looking forward to my flights instead of the usual slight dread - no more sore bum from too much sitting, I'll be lying instead. Cheers!

Last time I was in Revivals there was no breakfast hot buffet - orders only.

Hi all, thanks for all the responses, a couple more questions if I may!

1. Do HKG Clubhouse and Revivals provide towels and toiletries?

2. Hairdryers?

3. Is the inside area of the HKG Clubhouse air-conditioned?

Trying to minimise carry on so good to now the finer details!

PS. Lucky week finished abruptly when I was hit in the face by a hockey ball - glue and 3 strips later and my modelling career may be over but I feel lucky all the same - could have been much worse!

Congrats on your upgrade
Picked up two Gs to Miami and back today as well
Who wants a buffet after a long flight anyway. Sit down, have a rest and let the food come to you. Never remember waiting too long in Revivals anyway.

I love the HKG CH and the showers are fab, it's like your own luxury bathroom with loads of space, good hairdryer, fluffy towels and toiletries. Congratulations on the tickets and enjoy your trip. y)

1. Yes to both

2. Yes to both

3. The HKG Clubhouse is open to the rest of the terminal and is just above the gates used by VS so you can look down at the crowds gathering for your flight

The balcony area can get a bit warm and humid IMHO but it's a great place to sit - the main bit of th CH is air conditioned though.
