My OH has one, which is useful for sweeping up a few extra miles. Its really easy to get these transferred to my main Au account too.

Really? I thought these miles were intentionally kept seperate, unlike the kids ones that automatically go into the AU account...

If there's an easy/fee free way of moving the silver ones in too, I'd be interested to know. Although I know you can combine miles in different accounts when redeeming, it would be neater to have everything in one bucket if possible...

Yes I just called up the Au hotline and they transferred them, no charge and no bother. I'm sure this is a feature of the SSA, but maybe not other Silver cards. I just looked at my statement online and the entry from Jan this year says:

13 Jan 2012 ... Transfer miles from 008nnnnnnnnn ... Other Half's name ... 13518 ... 0

Just a quick post to call upon the knowledge of the collective on this. Made a call to VS to grab my miles and TPs for my recent NYC trip (they still haven't figured out automatically adding points for reward fares, even though booked directly with them!!)

Anyway, whilst on the phone was given a sort of account run down by the helpful lass on the other end of the phone - first time this had happened but actually quite informative on the whole. She claimed that I was eligible for a supplementary silver (as an AU, this I knew) and here's the kicker.. they did not have to be resident at the same address!!!

Is there any truth in this? Have things changed? The VS website appears to contradict her, but I do know how reliable that can be. Any knowledge greatly appreciated. oo)
