As a paid up member of the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Mushrooms, I LIKE mushrooms, particularly large field ones grilled with a smattering of garlic butter.

However, when a particular foodstuff is known to have significant "dislikers" it seems daft to have it feature in all three mains. Was mushroom soup one of the starter options?

Does SRB have a mushroom farm, does he have a glut of product on his mushroom farm? These are fundamental questions which neeed answering.

Otherwise I can only assume that the menu planner was an idiot.

Ditto slinky, and I hope to break my current V-Flyer communication altitude record when on my EK380 flights in September/October...currently 39,969 feet. y)

No you won't but please could I ask all you guys to play nicely and no personal attacks.

Who woulda thought that mushrooms would have been so controversial? :D

Just to be clear, these were not aimed as personal attacks - just banter. 8D

I know, but it was getting to the point where it could soon descend to that level and this was a warning shot across the bows :)
