I have just received my AA advantage mail and AA are now introducing an upgraded economy version with priority boarding and additional leg room. Having seen some of the comments on the new cramped PE on the 333 and displeasure of the new bubble lay out this may encourage VS to listen to some of these concerns. Also this might encourage keener pricing

Sounds like "More Room Throughout Coach" 2nd time lucky.

1st time, the removed seats had to be put back as they list customers when the fares all went up to cover the loss of capacity.

VS already sell extra legroom seats in economy.

The only difference is they don't give them away to AU or AG FC members.

And priority boarding's only really an advantage on LC carriers where there isn't assigned seating, so not sure this is really upping the ante against VS that much.

I won't fly AA, full stop. Am sure there are several million people like me.

Actually, on second thoughts...

There's a separate thread on AA's new cabins, and as I said there, AA is only doing what airlines like VS did ten years ago. As for Y+ it's really, as already said, the same as extra legroom seats on VS. PE is akin to domestic first on US airlines but in many ways better.

I do fly on AA but I always go with expectations in the pan, if it's better than that then it's just OK.

So good for AA in making improvements, but as a better choice than VS, they'll need another ten years of improvements just to level off.
