Highlights in Economy include new 'designer' toothbrush, new eyeshades and the return of earplugs.

Premium Economy includes new purple socks, 'quirky' toothbrush and earplugs, in a new soft grey pouch.

Upper Class includes the return of a pen, Polo's and different pouches for outbound and return flights.

New kids packs also coming soon once they have used all the remaining stock.

It is really sad that I am excited by this... almost like a kid and christmas presents.... Don't let me down VS.

Will be on the VS 3 and 4 next week (yes there will be TRs this time I promise ): ) so fingers crossed y)

Is the pen as nice as the long silver ones with the tail fin? I already have a shoe box (or should that be bag?) full of them...

Also what is a "modern" toothbrush? Is it just a toothbrush? Or is it not a toothbrush, much like the opaque pannels in the new UCS are 95% transparent with the other 5% being translucent, not opaque

Love how the RETURN of things is now big news in VS spin. I guess it's no different to when they *return* to a market from which they previously withdrew service. In this case (if the picture in the posted link is to be believed), are they literally reviving old stock from what, 5, 6 years ago?

So much for "exciting things in the pipeline".... :(

I hope so - would be great to see something genuinely NEW from VS...

(Although I still believe the RE-introducing something as basic as an amenity kit should not be an item of such fanfare. The reduction/removal of them in the first place, rather, should be an item of embarrassment.)

Anyway, too early to see it on today's flight I guess, but maybe my next one on the 26th... y)

Everything is brand-new - there is no revival of old stock.. Also as has been said above, they look really good!

So, when I asked Steve Ridgway on the way back from Cancun if I could use his pen it really did work ): .

Folks, don't believe this is actually a 'fanfare'. The OP has posted an internal email.

Maybe we should wait to see them before we start to criticize. Also, just to manage expectations, you'll see the Economy ones rolling out first, then Upper and Premium later on.

next time you see him could you ask him to 're-introduce' the 2nd HKG flight please. He obviously listens to you.
thanks

Which begs the question, should he have been posting an internal email on a public site ?|

While you're about it, perhaps you could ask him to slap a coat of paint on those new glass dividers in UC... Opaque my arse...

FYI this is info taken from the VS Intranet and not in any way shape or form from an internal email, nor is it copy and pasted.

Thanks.

It still begs the same question though. Remember staff have fallen on their swords in the past for posting on public fora
