Gate to Gate IFE coming?

Saw this topic over on the BA board on flyer talk:

Mentions that the CAA are allowing IFE on the ground shortly.. any word if this will be coming to VS too? (of course also governed by the CAA rules as BA are)

Perhaps they've finally realised that gate to gate IFE means a much be chance that the safety video actually gets watched?

It may also be good for all of those nervous flyers who need something to take their minds off of take off and landing.

I hope this doesn't happen as I believe it's potentially a safety issue to have people plugged in with headphones at crucial phases of flight. I could see becoming tangled in stray wires being a problem, as well as potentially mishearing crew instructions.
