I just logged into my FC account to see if some of my VX flights (the one's I'd upgraded which always take longer to credit) had credited, not only have they not credited but the vx flights that had have no disappeared?! Obviously I'll be calling FC to find out what's going on but has anyone else experienced this?

When exactly did you do the upgrades?
If you did the cheaper "at-checkin" upgrade (whether in advance online, or at the check-in counter) you do not get the upgraded miles/TP's, only the base fare you originally purchased.
(This went to someone very senior in partner relations/marketing last month, trust me...!)

Maybe they credited them incorrectly to start with and are doing a correction across the system...?

Did the upgrades at online check-in; the flights that were credited were credited as they should have been. Quite odd really. So, to be clear, I was credited for MC, which is what it should be as that was my orignal ticket, but those credits have since disappeared.

The odd thing, even though you always get your original fare credited, it always take longer for the 'upgraded' segment to appear...i.e the original MC credit takes longer when the fare has been upgraded.

I am so glad to see this post. I thought I was going insane! Exactly the same thing happened to me - a single VX flight at the end of July, in MCS and never upgraded, disappeared during the course of Sunday.

I have already spoken to Flying Club, who tell me Flying Club Support are looking at it for me. The person I spoke to initially thought it sounded odd.

ETA: It is particuarly annoying in my case as it was my 40th tier point. The website has reverted back to telling me I need 1 more tier point for Gold.

I'm sorry to hear it but also glad I'm not alone, it is really odd. The chap I spoke to said he'd never heard of it happening, same thing that flying club support will look at it for me. I'll update when I hear something.

I need to call the flying club when I get home, as my flights (bought at qualifying economy rate and upgraded with miles) are not showing. I asked about it on here and was advised to call FC, which I will do when I get home. But if seems an odd thing - I booked the flights on the phone and they took our FC numbers, so am not best pleased to have to call them. Hope your miles/tier points appear with less hassle!

Update - arrived home yesterday and gave Virgin a call. Oh, deep joy, I got through to Wales and not someone on a far-flung continent. The guy I spoke to managed, in a couple of clicks, to add the missing miles and tier points. Brilliant. Second time in recent months I've spoken to the Welsh contingent and both times I've had excellent service.

How often can we say that?!

I have not received a call, but the previous post has prompted me to recheck my account and I see that the flight has returned.

Hope it get sorted for you soon, too!

They hadn't disappeared, they just hadn't appeared in the first place! I'd booked UC, by buying a qualifying economy one and then upgrading with miles. They told me yesterday that, for some reason, the site doesn't recognise flights booked this way and that people do need to call to get the miles and tier points put on their account.

Which was just what I'd been told here :)

Oh, I'm sorry, I was getting confused with the person who's VX credit had disappeared like mine. Yes, you do always need to call when you've upgraded to receive your original credit.

Update: I received an email from FC this morning saying that all my VX flights had now been credited, and they have, no explanation though of why they were credited and then disappeared. Oh well, at least they're there.
