Hi, my wife & I are travelling UC LGW to MBJ on Wednesday 6th March & we have booked the chauffeur driven car service to LGW & then from Montego Bay to Sandals Whitehouse. The UC customer service representative informed me that they use Toyota cars for transfers in Jamaica if there are 2 pax and Lincoln town cars if there are 3-4 pax. My experience of Toyotas in Jamaica are ragged old vehicles that do not match the UC experience or expectations.

Does anyone have any experience of transfers from MBJ or any suggestions as to how we can ensure a Lincoln car is supplied?

On my last transfer to Sandals Ocho Rios we used the VS car transfer and it was a new BMW 5 series. Funnily enough we were stopped by the Jamaican Constabulary as the BMW is the choice of drug dealers there as well. Nothing says welcome to Jamiaca like a automatic gun pointing trough the window :D :D

I'm sure any honk of any car there is atleast ragged. :D It seems like it's a national sport to just honk to anyone on the streets there.

I glad i can say: i survived a Jamaican trip on the road :P

Back in the UL after a great holiday!

Despite requesting a Lincoln Town car through customer services the car from Montego bay to Whitehouse was a Suzuki Vitara jeep - not exactly in line with VAs image of a Chauffeur driven limo! We called VA UK whilst we were in Jamaica & got the town car on the way back.
