Seat Allocation opened early

I'm at 90 days and 3ish hours so thought I'd pop onto the Virgin site and have a wee look.

Glad I did, seat allocation was already open so I've got 79 A/B/C in the bubble - so pleased

I know that this is purely a seating request but If I do OLCI the day before we depart do you think I have a good chance of holding onto these seats?

A better chance than if you don't... Do they still release seat assignments not "claimed" via the OLCI process back into the pool at T-13?

Also, to avoid unpleasant surprises periodically check back on MMB to make sure the aircraft hasn't changed and your seat assignment with it.
