Did try yesterday, but it couldn't find a network. Evidently only 5 people can use at one time though.

5 people?! I knew that was the case for AeroMobile (the phone service) - is that really the case for wifi as well?

I was on one of the wifi A333s last week but there was no mention of it and I couldn't find a network.

Sorry, slight off topic. Isn't the AeroMobile 5 person limit just for calls?

Wifi has not started yet.

Aero mobile is 6 people for phone calls.

I believe only Vodafone and o2 customers can connect to aero mobile while EE can't.

Vodafone definitely can connect to Aeromobile as I used my BB for text and email on a recent flight.

Is there any news on the transatlantic 747's getting this upgrade? I can imagine my Orlando flights will appear much quicker if I have access to the internet to waste a whole load of time! ^) :D

I believe I read somewhere that aeromobile is available on all refitted aircraft so this will be the whole of the LGW fleet including those from MAN and GLA. Some of the newer aircraft from LHR may have this but not confirmed.

Wifi as mentioned above is not currently rolled out but is in the very early stages of a trial which may not have even started yet onboard that is.

Evidently my mistake. I thought another thread had suggested VS had confirmed on Facebook that wifi was now active on four A333s. Perhaps they had only confirmed it had been installed.
