Have the "fortune" of a work trip to Mumbai in 2 weeks ish time.

99% likely its business, not PE, but needs bean counter to approve - on BA, Virgin or JET (Virgin codeshare) - probably Virgin on Virgin metal - as the arrival times better to work and limit stay to a minimum (I'm not a fan of Mumbai personally)

Question is (and I have searched):
VS codeshare on JET - obviously no clubhouse as T4 - but whats is the business lounge like and business seat compared to VS? - and do they recognise VS status if travelling econ (they don't do PE - so this is last resort, I'd prefer BA WT+ to that). (They have a better return option!)

Lets hope beancounters approve and it'll be business on VS metal though - find out tomorrow.

Lounge at T4 is ok... not great... try and go upstairs as it is alot quieter as most punters don't know there is an upstairs.

There will be some colds options like cheese, crisps and soem hot options which is egge and bacon in the morning and usually a curry/rice or pasta in the evenings.

Bah, its booked -but beancounters have decreed Virgin to Mumbai (and any direct mumbai routing) is a PE acceptable route and been downgraded to PE from business for the trip annoyingly. Given its next week I've got no option to switch.

Annoyingly the BA routing via Delhi with internal transfer qualifies under work rules as Business, so despite it being more expensive, I *can* go business that route (and its considerably more expensive than the Virgin direct routing) , so its another routing Virgin will likely lose from me in future despite the better timings through no fault of their own. Stupid work rules, but have to play system to get a nice flight sometimes. Can't believe beancounters can't see sense and realise all of us doign Mumbai 3 times this year will be taking the longer route to get business at more expense than them allowing a VS business option.

Rant over about stupid beancounter rules.

Wondering if anyone has a VS clubhouse invite morning of Tues 7th May? - or I'll be stuck in No1 heathrow via PP for breakfast, and we all know clubhouse is superior.
