That AA flight landing 26 seconds after the Swiss took off was amazing.

I watched yesterday's show tonight and yes agreed presenters weren't great. James May would have been good
But I did enjoy it. Looking forward to the next one

Thoroughly enjoyed last night's show...especially the pooches off to The Hamptons for 3 months....oh it's a dogs life.....

I was quite critical after Monday's show and haven't bothered tuning in. Sounds likes there's been an improvement so I'll catch up on iPlayer.

And I hope it does lead to a return of the original Airport series.

One thing I didn't realise and learned from last nights programme is that VS put transfer bags in a different hold from bags checked in at LHR. As they are not in the Upper container, does this mean bags transferred from Little Red (and tagged as Upper) lose their priority status on arrival at the destination?

So pleased to see VS featured and not just boring BA!

It certainly got better as the week progressed.

Could this be a trial to prompt the return of the Airport series? I hope so...!

I wasn't as fussed on last nights shows, thought the two 'on the ground' features weren't that interesting or well done, but again enjoyed the pre-recorded segments (I want to play on that ATC sim) and thought Kate was good in the tower again, excluding Simon bloody Calder (knew he would find a way to get involved)

Overall I thought it was a good series, and I'm glad the BBC commissioned something a bit different.

I told my hubby that i would love a go on that sim, and he said no never you would plough all the aircraft together. :0 Well thanks alot but i would love to try it. I do hope we get more shows like this, i really enjoyed it. Simon Calder well ][|) what can you say.

The thing that surprised me was the amount of damage to the fan blades on the BA 747 engine that had to be replaced, and the fact that it was only picked-up at this 3 monthly maintenance check. Given the number of 'chunks' out of the blades, surely somebody would have noticed it on pre-flight walk arounds? Given the catastrophic damage a failed blade can cause I'm amazed these planes are not taken out of service immediately somthing like that is spotted.

They have to use a boroscope too see this in the detail needed, so it wouldn't be picked up otherwise.

I enjoyed the difference between this (largely operational) and the usual ego (passenger), bigger ego (selected staff) of a normal airport programme
