This happened with me and a friend a few years back. I politely asked the FSM and she said she would "see what she could do". Needless to say I never saw her again for the whole flight. Grrrrr. I would rather have just had a no.

Worth a try, def depends on the FSM. I notice such differences in them, you might get lucky.

Might I add that if a situation arises where a a couple are in a position where they find themselves travelling in separate classes that that is the right way round
