Had my GOES interview today, took all of 4 minutes ! The CBP officer just checked my passport number and didn't even ask for the ACRO certificate or any other documentation. Picture and fingerprints taken, then he said thats it you're approved, and you'll receive a confirmation email within 24 hrs. As i got up to leave "bing" the confirmation email arrived ! - Nice :-).

Now just need to try it at MCO in November.

I can only suggest you ring VS and ask f they will give you a code to apply with. They won't issue it however until your ACRO Police certificate is granted, as the codes they issue are only valid for 3 weeks, VS will want confirmation you can apply, before giving you a code.

I only applied in March so they were still supplying codes then.

The GOES web site does still say they are accepting a limited number of UK applications.

Give VS a ring - nothing to loose y)

We used our GOES for the first time at MCO the other day. We were in the first few off the aircraft having bagged 19 A&C but as we arrived at the immigration hall the queue was about 3/4 full and a flight from Germnay arrived at the same time and both sets off passengers where entering the hall together.

We went to go to the right and not join the normal queue, and a member of staff tried to stop us and indicate we had to join the queue, with a smug grin on my face I said we were going to the trusted traveller lane. He looked bemused as if to say " you shouldn't be".

Passport put in reader, couple of clicks and done, receipts issued. Showed the receipts to the CBP officer and straight through. We arrived at the baggage belt and they bags hadn't even started to be delivered. A few minutes wait and our bags were 7th and 8th out, :D through the customs trusted traveller route, hand in the receipt and onto the sky train.

All in all a very quick and trouble free experience, from stepping off the plane to driving out in the hire care was 35 minutes. y)
