Last flight I did had a huge group of 'kids' flying in UC, most of them in the A Zone. They were either rowdy, loud, or taking control of the bar. One of them even found the necessity to try and sleep next to me, whilst his younger friend tried to document the situation with a photo....
Yes it was the party bus home from SFO but to illustrate a point, I have encountered far worse behaved adults on flights than children. I have far too many examples but children don't tend to be rude to crew or downright obnxious or intoxicated.
Thanks,
Richard

LOLOLOL ... That wasnt your average flight that day though was it, to be fair! But agreed, our behaviour would have put a bunch of 3 year old to shame [:I] Still, next time you'll know better than to try and sleep onboard the party bus!!

Just a quick one on kids and UC
I travel three times a year in UC with my children (3 & 5) and here is my view.
UC travel with kids is a luxury just like UC on business. In my view UC travel with kids is more worthwhile than when on business because of the added stress of travelling with kids.
The answer then is of course you can take your kids in UC as long as you respect other people. I find UC staff much more kid friendly than BA first however there are exceptions...
1. Some staff can be a bit funny in terms of looking after everyone else in UC and leaving you to last etc. All staff need a course in how to handle customers with kids.. i.e. serve kids/parents meal first etc - if they go on wine courses than why not kids courses
2. Until getting gold card status you do not earn miles on your kids flights which is a bit harsh
3 The most important point is that in the new UC suites your children will have to sit on their own on take off and landing and you are not next to them as in economy to hold hands etc. This can be quite scary for young children. We had a real problem with my three year old unlocking himself and trying to sit with my wife. The crew did not know what to do and neither did we..how do you stop a three year old unlocking himself and sitting next to his mum ?
Interesting Gulf Air now have a sky nanny on all their flights and therefore get my business when flying to the UAE.
Let me know Steve if you have any more specific questions and I'll help with what I can
