Is there a dedicated desk for Upper Class check during the twilight check in facility?

Last year, when we used this option, there was no obvious area for Upper Class so we joined quite a long queue.

There was a few weeks ago when we travelled, however, the twilight check in area was so quiet, I think they only had someone behind the Upper & Premium desks. Maybe there were more staff waiting behind the scenes if it got busy for economy check ins. This was about 17:30 so just after twilight opened.

Ditto,
I also have a slight phobia about letting my bags go off into some unknown conveyor system for the night. I'd rather keep them in my hotel room, check in on line and drop the bags off in the morning.
A couple of years ago I did wander over to check in and at that time there was no separate Upper desk, but also no queue, at five thirty.

Twilight check-in's had its day IMHO.

It was a godsend back before OLCI was widely used and everything had to be done on the day, meaning you could easily queue for an hour to check in (for economy).

Now many more people check in and select their seats online, and those who don't are directed to the self-service machines so the bag drop process is much quicker and the queues far shorter. In fact the economy queue can be far longer at twilight check-in than on the morning because they only open one or two desks.

I dunno. My Sunday flight to the Caribbean is always at 12.30. I fear the madness of Sunday travel in London so I often get down to Gatwick the night before, use twilight check in and go to a local hotel. I can tell you now that as a PE traveller, my bags have always come off the aircraft with UC, saving me absolute bags of time when I want to be on my way. In fact I often see UC customers doing the same, checking in and going to BLOC hotel for the night. Its a lovely way to start your holiday, knowing that you have those extra minutes in bed, just roll out and head straight to departures. I've used it 3 times and initially like others I was concerned that my bags wouldn't get there or worse, but knock wood no problems so far.

I am with onelifeliveit.

With a 9am departure there was no time to waste in the morning on my recent trip ex LGW. I did not want to risk any delays on the departure morning; it would be just my luck to get stuck behind someone like me at check-in. So Twilight Check-in...definitely.

So up, dressed and straight to departures and the promised land and breakfast
