I am booked in upper class on VS5 (lhr-mia) Saturday 26th Sep and for a couple of weeks there has been no ability on-line or over the phone to select seats, whilst the return leg is available. any idea why this would be?
I'm not 100% sure if this still applies following all the changes to the seat request process in the last year or so but what used to be the case is that VS would only release 60% of the seats for prior request and then close off the seat map when they had been taken up.
They would then release the remainder when OLCI opened up (after allocating e.g. bassinet and special assistance seats).
This could be the situation here.
