Is it just me or has the "Manage my booking" section gone downhill lately?

It used to be that when I clicked on 'Your Future Flights' from my FC account I would be taken through to a list of my upcoming flights. Now I just get the message "We were unable to locate your flights based on your Flying Club number" and have to re-enter the booking reference for the flight I want to view.

Also, I have just booked a flight on the VA site (Thanks again for the tip mikethe3rd!) and used 30,000 miles towards the booking. However, when I view the booking there is no FC number and, more bizarrely, the option for me to add it is not available.

Anyone else experiencing the same problems?

Do you have your FC number added into your bookings? I find as I moved down the ladder from silver and the FC number changed, I couldn't access the booking from manage my booking page, until I updated the new FC number.

Ah that must be it then, as I did move to Silver not so long ago. You would think they would be able to make the change seamless. Unfortunately it's not giving me an option to add a FC number to the latest booking (Even though I booked while logged in and used 30k miles)

Doesn't the Your Future Flights page say it doesn't list flights that aren't eligible to earn miles & TPs - ie reward bookings or Miles Plus Money fares.

I think it may only show flights booked with cash which earn miles & TPs (including those where miles were used to upgrade a cash Economy or PE fare to a higher cabin).

I haven't got any flights booked at present ( >-( ) so can't check but strongly suspect that's the case.

Ah bugger, I thought I would still earn miles & TP's on a 'Miles plus money' in Z - it would have tipped me over into Gold :-(

Next time I think I'll just do Ex-EU - I don't mind a bit of extra hassle for the TPs!

Yes, unfortunately MPM fares are very poor value if you collect miles or TPs.

They're really aimed at rewarding occasional travellers who've set about building up a few thousand miles in order to save money on a flight, but who'll probably never amass enough for a full reward flight and don't care about status or collecting serious miles.

For those who do, they're useless.

RedBull - fear not, you'll still earn miles and TPs on your booking but you're not supposed to. For this reason it won't appear in your account but wait until the next day after your flight and do a 'claim missing miles' and they'll post. It's been a known bug for quite a few years and worked for me and others as lately as Feb.

My G's to LAX in May are there - as did my G's to LAX and back from SFO last year. I haven't had any problems with viewing this booking (touches wood) but I had the same issue last year where I had to keep entering the booking number. - VS IT inconsistencies strike again!

Woohoo, you have to love Virgin for it's dodgy IT at times ;-)

Thanks Mike!
