A couple of weeks time we'll (2 ADULTS 1 CHILD) hopefully be sat in PE aboard VS93

Having sampled the delights of the Clubhouse at LHR last August where we spent the best part of 9 hours (5 hour delay!) I'm hoping to get access to the clubhouse at LGW, is this a no-hoper though given its the penultimate flight out?

Just wondered if anyone had any idea having done similar or an idea on crowd levels??

If you pay on the day are they strict with the 3 hours?

I have two free passes c/o amex/lounge club for no.1 but also worried that could be full.

Paid entry may be available on the day, but is very dependent on busy the Gatwick Clubhouse is on that particular day so do not be offended if you are turned away.

In fact I saw this happening on Tuesday morning when somebody flying PE and tried to get access but was turned away.

IF you are able to get paid access, it is limited to three hours - so if you turn up first thing when the flights to the Caribean fill the Clubhouse then chances will be slim.

At the door of the Cloubhouse, they have put up a sign say CLUB ROOMS are located elsewhere - apparently many have turned up at the Clubhouse who have entry to the No1 Lounge Club rooms :-)

If you want certainty then book a Lounge beforehand

virgin holiday advertise it at £55 each. Guess you would have needed to book a package with them though.
If you decide to book No1 lounge - then dont forget you can collect both Avios & Virgin miles

might be better paying for the outbound & using you passes for the inbound?

We did it recently Enroute to Montego Bay, couldn't get in no1 lounge as it was full so walked over and asked the clubhouse. They said they could accommodate us as the morning rush was over, so we got in around half 10 and had about 2 hours in there. Had an pedicure and plenty of champers so got our money's worth ;-)
