Vegas Reward Flight Availability

Hi everyone, I'm trying to book two return economy reward flights to Vegas late November. The return leg has good availability but I am having trouble getting availability on the outbound flight (any date between 20th and 23rd of November). I've been checking availability since the start of the reward sale and only UC has been available (which sadly I do not have enough miles for). What do you guys think is the chance that it will become available or should I just give in and pay for the outbound?

There seems to be more last minute reward seat release recently than there used to be, but there are NO guarantees - especially to Vegas.
Have you looked at LAX or SFO? You could make it a two centre trip and hop over to Sin City on a LCC after you have had some time in your gateway city - or you could fly the night you land if you don't want to do this.

Thanks Nick. LAX has good availability but a LAX return to LAS would add additional cost which means my reward flight won't save much money over a regular direct fare (BA are offering flights for £450 for example). Unfortunately one way is not possible either as LAX flights are out of LHR, but LAS is out of LGW.
