If they get the times right this could increase the utilisation of the 789s given one sits in Joberg most of the day doesn’t it?

Very surprised at this, the first capacity increase heading east since the DL investment! Maybe DL are seeing value in transit through LHR, be interesting if we see anything else.

I have just arrived at HKG off the 206 and we had full premium and upper cabins but a very quiet economy. I think VS will be hoping the VA tie up will boost that.

Hearing reports as well that Seattle isn’t performing strongly... not sure if they’re to be believed but if they need to cut to start extra Joberg, that would be my bet, hand it back to DL.

SAA are going through financial difficulties and making cuts, so it wouldn't surprise me if this is VS taking advantage of these frequency reductions to increase their service and gain more market share.

Not surprised Seattle isn't performing well if Novembers prices are anything to go by, the cheapest return economy fare is coming up at £2000 from London.
