With the current promotion I can get an extra 40% miles by boosting x3. It would cost £236 for 33,100 miles. It works out as £0.007 a mile.

I’m only on 40k miles at the moment, got about 20k coming through on ShopsAway and with this, it would mean an UC outright return.

I think it’s a good rate as I tend to use miles at around £0.011+ for UC outright return.

I just wanted to check my logic before pressing ahead...

Thanks,

Mike

Seems excellent to me - it means you could buy the 95000 miles you need for a UC return for around £700!

Hi Mike,

I think it depends what redemptions you have in mind, when you book and what flexibility you have (and if there’s a sale on)

In my case the flights I was after to joberg were £3700 rtn (and they didn’t get cheaper as we got closer to the flight) I booked eco del (for the extra miles and tp of course). On that basis I got 3.5p per mile value! Good in any ones books I’m sure you will agree.

If you were to buy 95k miles for £700 there’s always the taxes to consider. Just need to crunch the numbers 8-)
