Hi

Is anybody able to run a load check for LHR to JNB, departing 26th Sept, returning 5th Oct

Currently have two PE seats booked, but have some Credit Card Reward Vouchers expiring soon that im keen to use. Best case scenario would be to convert them to UC upgrades, but currently no rewards seats avaiable

Worst case scenario is that i can convert them to Club House passes. Whilst this is a terrible "value" usage, the rewards are expiring very soon so im in a "use it or lose it" situation

Hoping there are still a number of UC seats available, which indicates a greater chance of more reward seats opening up pre our flights

Thanks for this, so if im understanding this correctly, there are still a large number of UC seats available, so hopefully this will result in some being opened up as we get nearer the flight?!

This has given me the incentive to try dummy bookings on a daily basis as im hearing rumours the new Reward Seat Availability tool isnt that accurate??

I've just opened up the Virgin Atlantic reward seat checker, and compare that with seat spy. The numbers there are very very similar. There's some slight differences here and there, but are generally in line.

I think these tools are always refreshed periodically and are never "to-the-minute" up to date. The only way to know for sure would be make dummy bookings and even that would only be as at the time you check it.

My Seatspy subscription has served me well in the past as it would send me whatsapp messages as soon as its checks turn up anything on my target date, class and route. This puts me ahead of the game of someone who would only be able to periodically check otherwise. For the price I pay vs the potential gain (of being able to fly with a bed up front in Upper, vs cramped in the back), I find the Seatspy subscription excellent value. I encourage you to have a look into that.

There's still at least 9 seats that VS are selling for cash.
Whether they add reward availability to that is anyone's guess. But you do stand a good chance I think. Keep checking!
