What about baggage reclaim!? Lol! :P

Your all jealous you won't get one! That's what it is!

Yeah, go for it, I'll buy you and Simon a bottle of champoo for photographic evidence of you in the VS onesie at baggage reclaim :P

Your very luck alcohol plays a large part in our lives! For that reason you're on! ^)

Good. You get the evidence I'll cough up the champers :P

I think these look pretty cool 8D. OnePiece are a decent brand too, so can't imagine they come cheap!?

Fingers crossed they're available for my UC flights later in the year y).

Please DO NOT take this question out of context (to all the P.C. freaks out there)...

Genuinely, I have a question...

Of the people who LIKE this onesie idea: Who flies on FULL CASH for Upper Class seats/tickets?

Not casting any aspersions / creating any divide, I'm genuinely interested in the mix. Of the people who are flying in Upper Class with real MONEY (whether company or their own), not miles (and not Economy or PE passengers who think the idea is great), who believes this innovation is a good investment?

Myself I'm not a onesie fan but Mrs Hull thinks they're great for lazing around in, we are leisure travellers who both 40 next year and fly mostly on Z fares from our own pockets (no Kids, work hard play hard).

Do I think it's a good investment? No, if they cost around £100 a piece as Nikolic says the brand charges it is a complete waste of money (£4400 a flight on each LHR 747) from an Airline that is making a loss, that money could be much better spent or even be used to pay those nasty fuel surcharges.

I fly both on miles upgrade tickets and fully paid (my own not work's), and I think perhaps a lot of folks do.

I think it's a fun idea, I don't know about good investment.

I'm a personally funded I and Z fare paying traveller. Like Dom, I think the onesie is a waste of money, time and innovation. A little more time spent on actual enhancement of the on board experience will be more welcome. Perhaps also more frequent deep cleaning of the aircraft.

Edit to add: Let's not forget that UC is supposed to be a business class product with the emphasis on business. Too much playfulness may not be welcome. Perhaps it may be a big hit on the leisure routes.

Generally yes, which is why I am most miffed when I do try to use FC miles and cannot ... my point about the onesie is that that moment has passed, it is a dud because the peak of onesie-ness is (IMO) gone so the marketing 'bubble' is late. This makes it untrendy, not fun and trendy, like a middle aged man in flip flops with socks. It shows a marketing team that is off the ball, so to speak.

The second thing I would say, and noting I have never taken a sleep suit home with me after a flight, is that I'm guessing it'll be some poly-gasoline-nylon-plastic mix so deeply uncomfortable and especially it will be hot when the ctew crank up the temperature to nullify all the pax so they can huddle around Heat magazine instead. I have nothing against onesies, I have a nice quality one that is good to slip into on a cold night after a days skiing. Not on an aeroplane!

:)

And as a follow-up study, can we post a survey on the FT BA board, and ask all who currently fly Club on BA whether this is more, or less likely, to make them try out VS Upper..?!

I'll be flying CW on next flight and I'll answer the above question here now, boy am I glad I am and it would make me even more likely to avoid VS upper in future! I can't think of anything more that has 'missed the boat', even for a laugh, fashion wise - it hasn't lasted long because it looks so ridiculous unless your on a stag/hen night/weekend, or done it for a dare!
As someone else said SRB looks totally embarrassed in the photo and who can blame him.

Slinky is spot on. 4 years ago it may have been "cool". Now it just shows a company with no forward direction. What a shame

hmm good question...
i like others use a combination of Z and Gs.
honestly i think it would/could have been viewed as fun if done when onesies first came out and only for a limited time on the leisure routes. like slinky said i think their marketing department is a little behind the times. and as hull said perhaps could have been better spent on other onboard enhancements to attract or keep flyers
slightly OT but this wouldnt stop me wanting to fly VS as opposed to BA CW. I guess as I have nver flown BA CW its difficult to do proper comparison but the appeal of DTCI and CH along with the VS cabin crew and also using my airmiles have kept me on VS. do i want to try BA one day to NRT defo. but this time it came down to price. maybe next time

I fly UC and work pays or I pay myself on G or Z typically. It's not putting me off - it's a littel fun, and I'd be taking the onesie home probably.

When I can pick the flight as many options allowable - I do pick VS still - the cabin crew are just friendlier. And I've had some awful BA experiences on some routes, where VS I havn't had an awful flight (yet).

This wouldn't stop my flying VS over BA or anything else..

Yes thats it, this onesie is just too much. I absolutely cannot possibly ever fly VS again because of it. But BA offer a sleep suit/pyjamas so in that case I will be taking my flights with them from now on.'

Can't see it personally, whilst I appreciate some may find it 'chavvy' is it really that offensive that you would reconsider which airline you use?

They shouldnt be recycled as there's only 1000 of them being given out on the promotion
Some will probably end up on eBay though

I'm flying home tonight in UC on the VS066. I have my own pjs packed as last time the PJS they gave me were just too uncomfortable. I will of course take a onesie if I get offered one LOL.

Ah just read the story from the link above and says mid- June so looks very unlikely for me :D

I fly with real money, retired now so I have to pick up the bill. I do occasionally use up my BA or Delta miles when I can get a business flight but I find it difficult to use them. For the first time ever I have managed a BA trade using some of my many thousands of Avios miles for a MAN to HEL on a FinAir/Fly Ba Nordic but only in business which looks like standard seats but with a meal, well I get to use them and I want to go the HEL, my wife is convinced I should be going to Hell.
Off on my next VA MAN/MCO UC flight soon, this will be the second time on that route with VA. I normally fly Delta BE across the pond but got such a good deal with VA and AmEx Plat that I will be driving from MCO to the RSW area for a month rather than flying there with Delta.
As for the onesie, I think I will give it a miss, I will leave that to the young and trendy.

If it keeps them away, then all of a sudden I am all in favour of the onesie!

Most of the time, night flights (Red eyes) you want to change into something comfortable. 9 times out of 10 the flight cabin is set stupidly hot, you want something light/ easy to change into/ easy to visit the bathroom in/ and not a static nightmare.

The product for this, all joking aside, is a full decent cotton/ silk?, set of PJ's

Repeat pax will see through gimmicks... n(
