Surely having the same 30 second music track isn't doing VS any favours?!

After a 20 minute hold telling me that me that my call will be answered soon and listening to the same piece of music over and over and over and over again really doesn't put me me in the right frame of mind when I finally talk to a human. Especially when the reason for my call is because I have come across the following message in MMB:

You change aircraft in Atlanta, GA (13m)
With a change in schedule, you may miss your connecting flight. Please review your rescheduled itinerary.


May miss my flight?! A 13 minute connection in ATL?!

Naturally I spot this change in my flight departure time with no help or email from VS.

Its a good job I have had plenty of coffee tonight, I've checked the flights again and the call centre agent has not only changed my connecting flight but has now got me flying ATL-MAN, shame I wanted to go to LHR. :blush:

MORE HOLD MUSIC ;-( and another call later I fly back into LHR.

Ahh I know. I managed to get through to them three times within 10 minutes this afternoon at around 4pm. I've been trying for the last few hours as I need to make a change to my booking and I've been waiting for over an hour...how much is this costing us!?

Punctuation aside - I can sympathise entirely. We've attempted to change our return leg booking - originally JFK-LHR, to a revised MCO-MAN option now THREE times. Each time the reward seats are showing as available and each time the flying club staff either can't see them on their system or can see them momentarily but when they have selected them they have subsequently disappeared........We now how several £k on the credit card as each attempt has been charged as though the booking has gone through, but so far are still flying back from JFK (we have been told these charges will be refunded within 7-10 days, however we are now at day 8 and nothing, and given the state of their systems I'm not confident it's going to appear automatically as it should). We have given up now. The website is now showing 4 x G's available, but quite frankly another hour trying to get the booking amended again is more than i think I can face (it has been about three hours on the phone to date in total). After all a weekend in New York isn't such a hardship, even if it eats into the time planned in Florida. That said, it is more than a little frustrating.
