Highflyer mentioned in a recent topic that "I think the general consensus is that the planned menu change on the 1st March is very welcome indeed!"
That date is not far away. Has anyone had a sneak preview of the new menus?

Oh pretty please let it be so.

Since joining this site just over a year ago this is the one subject that has been beaten to death.

Heard so much about it I've got confused. Is this:
A complete overhaul of food and a new provider?
The same provider just overhauling the food, with I guess a bigger budget?
Just the monthly menu change?

What have i been saying now ... [:I]

Seriously though, Roger, i do hope you are right! When VS fix the food issue there will be a lot of happy customers! I for one am looking forward to hearing all about the new menu and how it measures up!

Thanks,
Sarah

We fly to MCO on Friday and back 10th March so I guess we will experience the old and the new.

Do they change the menu monthly now? If so what can we expect in UC on the trip out?

Lamb Shank
Lamb Shank
Lamb Shank
Lamb Shank
Lamb Shank

(Isn't cut and paste wonderful.)

Oh, and veggie lasagne and GOOD soups for those lighter or non-carnivorous days.

Oh again, no "fish and chips" or green mash.

A nice, simple, well cooked (NOT well done, I'm not a complete pleb!) fillet steak please, VS. And before there are claims of, "a fillet steak is very hard to do at 36K feet'", (a) other airlines do it in J and, (b) one of the nicest (airline) fillets I've had was on my first ever trip in UC back from BGI in '99, so get it sorted! ;)

Just a quick question...

Is the UC menu the same for LGW and LHR?.

The Freedom menu depends on which flight you're on. Usually, the flight numbers that menu applies to are printed somewhere on the menu itself. I'm not too sure which menus are operated on which flights to be honest, someone somewhere is bound to have worked it out :D

Luke - that would be about right then. Just been having an SMS exchange with Mr Decker saying that the menu is still the same (Lamb suet pud, etc..) on his VS023 this morning.

Cheers

Just back from Cape Town this morning and the menu's are still the same - chicken / lamp suet pudding / pasta etc. . . here's hoping they change sooner rather than later especially as on the way back from Cape Town they forgot to load parts of some of the meals i.e. pasta with butternut, tomatoes and pumpkin seeds suddenly became pasta with cheese sauce last night!
