Mid Class....

Dear All,

I remember that when Virgin launched PE it was called Mid Class.

Have the seats (size/pitch etc) and service improved or degraded since then?

Facts and opinions welcome.

The new style PE seats ("Wash") do have some improvements. The now include Empower for your laptop and bigger screens (for the V:Port). Whilst they look funky I have to admit I'm not totally convinced yet that they are an improvement in comfort. The legrests, for instance, are attached to the seat in front rather than coming up from your own seat, so you don't get as much flexibility on the angle. The headrests are more curved, so if you prefer to sleep on your side (like me), you don't get as much support at the edges.

Overall though, I think they're a step forward in terms of design.

I think that the older PE seats are alot more comfortable compared to the new ones. However... you cant get V:PORT in the old seats so its a tough choice [}:)]

What do these seats look like? I've tried to find photos online and couldn't, only saw the "old" style at airliners.net

Anyone have any photos? I am travelling in about a month on PE on the 744 and A343.
