I'm flying to MCO from Manchester next Friday (17th). I've booked seats 80 H&K in PE and I'm wondering - as thay are right at the back of the section - do the seats fully recline? I looked at the seat description and passengers comments but this wasn't mentioned. Thanks for any help.

Katie,

Upstairs on 747 is great.
Seat rating page http://www.v-flyer.com/seats.asp notes that these seats do recline.

Enjoy your trip and don't forget the TR

Katie

A very big welcome to V-Flyer.

80 H& K are my some of favourite seats on the MCO run[y][y]

you have the benefit of being able to recline almost as soon as the aircraft has left the ground, as well as the overhead locker you some useful side bins that hold lots of stuff and when closed they double as a handy place to put books, papers etc.

Downside, is you are the last to receive the meal service upstairs and being next to the Galley, on night flights, you do get stray light from there which might disturb your sleep. (That said, Mrs buns cannot sleep on planes so usually has a chat with the flight crew;))

Have a great time in Florida and don't forget the Trip Report

I thought they looked good seats when I saw someone else in them a few years ago but I couldn't remember whether they seemed to recline right back. I have been lurking for quite a while, but you guyz are so knowledgeable - I haven't got much to contribute. However, I will do a trip report when I get over the jet-lag. Thanks for all the replies.

Hi Katie - yep these are good and you wil also see that 79ac are good to for the same reason - AND 79 c has an extra table.

The other benefit is that you are first off the plane - even eahead of UC - this is great at MCO for getting to immigration first - providing another 747 has not just deplaned ahead of you of course?

Just out of interest - 666? The Number of the Beast? 664 the chap who lives next door?

They are goods seats Katie - two of our group were in them only last week. However I believe the recline on them is a little less than the other seats due to the wall behind.

I 2nd this - it's great to know you won't have someone crowding your space - and is the best you can get in E - a sort of PE minus.... Confusing though, is it not, to call them H & K - does suggest seats in middle. A work colleague of mine was telling me she's booked similar seats and she too thought they had a seat between them. Must be some rationale behind the seat numbering - but not obvious to Joe Public![ii]

CSS I think the seats 80 H&K being referred to are in PE not economy:)

I certainly hope they are PE as that is what I upgraded to using my airmiles. I have never flown economy for the simple reason that my husband is very tall and simply cannot get into economy seats.

Katie they definitely are PE. I've sat in them and didn't think the recline was any less than any other PE seat.

Thanks for the reassurance jilly - I always worry until I actually see the seat & know my husband is going to be comforatble as he hates flying and over the years we have had some awful experiences even threatening to get off the plane at one time.

Yeah sometimes the VS site throws a wobbler and it all goes pear shaped - you are right though - you just need to keep trying - if it doesnt work then you can always ring the Flying Club and they can reserve them for you!!

I advise pressing the preview button so you get a pop up with what you have just typed. Then when you post your new reply and it errors, and the back button doesn't take you back to where you were, you can just paste it all in again. :D
